Job Description

Standard Job Duties
  • Responsible for maintain strict privacy and confidentiality of all patient protected health information.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform chard assembly accurately according to the closed record order for inpatient records.
  • Demonstrates ability to accurately perform chart analysis and reanalysis in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrates understanding and ability to work with ChartMax system to complete requirements for Chart scanning and QA related to HIM requirements.
  • Provides customers with a service that assures they are listened to, understood, cared for and treated fairly, courteously, and intelligently.
  • Assist physicians as needed in completing their medical records by providing equal access medical record filing.
  • Reconciles records with discharge list to insure that all records are present.
  • Assembles all loose filing of clinical information and places in chart concurrently after patient is discharged.
  • Uses skills and knowledge to appropriately assist customers with requests for medical record information according to policy.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology and medical records processes.
  • Demonstrates ability to work accurately with focus on established goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year medical records clerical experience required.
  • High School Diploma, or GED
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. 
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in related field.
  • RHIT Certification
  • ChartMax System
  • Google Suites
