Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst                              
The Sr. Financial Analyst position, reporting to the VP Due Diligence & Strategic Analysis, will develop proformas and hospital service line profitability analyses to support major decisions to be made by hospital and CHC leadership. Analysis work will include developing complex assumptions for the analysis and communicating with multiple parties the assumptions being relied upon. The Senior Analyst will work with hospital(s) and CHC representatives to procure the information and data needed to complete the project work. The role will be responsible for providing the solid information and data for the organization to make significant decisions regarding strategic initiatives and services. 
Education & Experience 
  • BA or BS in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
  • 4 plus years of experience in healthcare financial analysis, decision support, or finance.
  • Requires experience with pro forma development, hospital service line profitability analysis, building financial spreadsheets and reports via Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and the use of complex databases, spreadsheets, reports, and analytics 
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to create meaningful financial reports from various data sources
  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to create and manipulate sophisticated and complex databases, spreadsheets and reports

Major Responsibilities 
  • Financial forecasting, including cash forecasting, and proforma development of service lines for CHC hospitals.
  • Develop solid assumptions in coordination with subject matter experts upon which to build proformas
  • Communicate project status updates and needs for assistance regularly with CHC VP of Due Diligence and Strategic Analysis
  • Present financial analyses, along with CHC VP of Due Diligence and Strategic Analysis, to CHC and/or hospital leadership in a clear manner that allows all stakeholders to understand the assumptions driving the analysis results
